Wedding: 29 April 2008
Farthing Chapel and Hall
How did you meet? Through the Westside International Church
The proposal: Hedwicks at Aloe Ridge; A romantic dinner for two.
What theme or atmosphere did you create on your Big Day? Our theme was Romance and Elegance, and the atmosphere was just amazing - cant't describe it any further than that.
Describe your Table Décor/flowers or Gifts to guests: We had ceramic vases with pink and orange roses, with pink and orange runners and candles. The gifts to the guests were two champaign glasses wraped in a box - one glass said "Love" and the other one said "Unity".
Wedding Dress: Off-White fitted dress, lace overlay, continuing into the train. Very romantic and gorgeous.
Wedding Cake: 2 Tier cake. The bottom tier was a fruit cake and the top tier was a lemon sponge cake, with butter icing, displayed on a mirror with orange roses surrounding it. There was a miniture bouquet placed on top.
The Best thing about being a Bride: Being the centre of attention for just one day in my life, and having all my loved ones around me all at once.
The Best thing about being a Groom: Being the mand standing next to the most beautiful woman in the world.
Highlights/Special/Funny incidents of the day: Having the whole family together celebrating such an event! Also walking down the isle and seeing such emotion in my husband-to-be's face.
What have you learned from this experience: Have an awesome photographer to catch all the moments you miss, as the day vanishes far too quickly.
Any advice you would like to give other bridal couples? Stay calm, enjoy every moment of planning and the day as it will only happen once - what's the fun in stressing??
